Dr. Farhan Shivji

Dr. Farhan Shivji

General Dentist

Dr. Farhan Shivji completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia, and has since become the proud owner and principal dentist of Pocosmiles, conveniently located in Shaughnessy Square.

Dr. Shivji creates a welcoming and safe clinical environment that prioritizes patient comfort. Patients consistently appreciate his precise anaesthetic technique, and his charismatic and caring chair-side manor. Dr. Shivji advocates for his patients, and enjoys educating patients regarding their oral health care, with consideration of each patient’s specific concerns- both restorative and cosmetic. As well as growing his practice, Dr. Shivji has a strong interest in population and public health. He has traveled to San Quintin, Mexico on a dental mission to provide dental care to communities in need.

In his spare time Dr. Shivji enjoys spending time hiking and skiing around beautiful BC, keeping up-to-date with his passion for cars, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Dorothy Tang

Dr. Dorothy Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of British Columbia and completed her dentistry degree at James Cook University in Australia. Dr. Tang fell in love with Australia when she first visited Melbourne to volunteer for the Bushfire Recovery Project. Following her undergraduate degree in BC, she returned to a different part of Australia – the tropical city of Cairns, Queensland where she lived and studied dentistry.

Dr. Tang values building a trusting relationship with her patients and creating an environment where her patients feel comfortable cared for, and well-informed at their dental appointment. She enjoys taking the time to get to know each patient so that she can consider their concerns and come up with a comprehensive and tailored treatment plan. Her warm, caring, and friendly personality allows children and anxious patients to feel at ease. Dr. Tang’s particular interests include oral surgery, endodontics, and restorative dentistry. She is an advocate for minimally invasive dentistry and likes to provide options for conservative dental care whenever possible.

During her free time, Dr. Tang likes to spend time with friends and family. She also enjoys attending dental seminars to stay up-to-date, practicing yoga, and playing the piano.

Dr. Keunha Lee

Dr. Keunha Lee was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. He receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Jeonbuk National University Faculty of Dentistry in 2014. Prior to dentistry, he received a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering degree from Seoul National University.

After obtaining his dental license, Dr. Lee served Korean Army for 3 years. While working as a dentist/lieutenant, Dr. Lee met patients from all walks of life and grew his compassionate heart as a dentist. Additionally, he acquired Canadian Dental Board in 2017 during his military service.

Dr. Lee then started an associateship at Navid Dental Clinic in Seoul for 4 years and decided to move to the Yukon Territory, Canada in 2020. While working/living in Whitehorse nearly for 2 years, he has gained invaluable experience not only as a dentist but also personally such as Yukon’s larger-than-life nature, coldness of the north, and deeper understanding of indigenous culture.

When it comes to dentistry, Dr. Lee is licensed both in Canada and South Korea. He is an active member of the BC Dental Association and Yukon Dental Association. Dr. Lee finds joy in practicing oral surgery and implant dentistry as well as other fields of general dentistry including restoration and root canal treatment. He values mutual respect and understanding with patients. He strives to make dental visits a welcoming and comfortable experience while focusing on providing a high standard of patient-centered care.

In Dr. Lee’s spare time, he loves to spend his time with his family. He enjoys looking at the clouds, running, and trail walking in great nature.
